Choosing Love Eliminates Fear
The path to freedom follows from your choosing love instead of succumbing to fear.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love they neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
--Matthew 5:43-44
You have two choices regarding your state of being: love or fear.
Love extinguishes fear. Love based action, then, becomes effective because it comes from a higher source than your egoic mind. In essence, you respond from the depths of your being, from your connection to Source/God. You are present, and that leaves no room for fear-based thoughts or deeds.
Fear however, edges love out. When you allow fear to dominate your consciousness: anger, resentment, worry, blaming, judging, complaining take over your daily thoughts, and you become them. Consequently, any actions arising out of fear-based consciousness are ineffective and result in continued pain and suffering for both yourself and those around you.
The law of physics states that like attracts like. Accordingly, you attract into your life that which you are, not that which you want or desire.
Choosing to come from a place of love brings a sense of peace, joy and awareness to your life as you move closer to the source of your existence. Remember your spirit. Connect to the universe instead of separating from it.
Choose love not fear.
This is the unsolicited advice I gave to a person who habitually whined about all those people he hated, who in his judgment did not belong here, who are not "like him." I knew this note would not change his mind, but it did keep him from harassing me with his negativity for quite a long time. I think he may be ready for another dose, however.
