FTC Disclosure Compliance: Better Safe Than Sorry, So Here You Go, FTC

This blog is not a money maker, but I have held out secret hope that it would eventually become solvent. In fact, I have yet to see a penny from the ads, as I have not reached the $10.00 minimum for payment (that's right! Have made just over five dollars from this blog, but cannot collect!) Furthermore, I do not think I need this Disclosure, since I've also not received any endorsements or freebies, but like I stated above, better safe than sorry.

I created this blog in 2011 to force myself to write, read, research, get out of the old "comfort zone," break outta the box, and learn from y'all, while having fun with the process and spreading the joy. Oh, and let's not forget, I need money too, so get that income into production, while I'm at it! (One can dream.)

(Most of the rest of this Disclosure I copied from Tim Ferriss' blog, http://fourhourworkweek.com/ftc-disclosure-blog/ because Tim gave we bloggers permission to do so.Thank you Tim Ferriss and the folks who created the illustrations, Louis Gray and Jeannine Schafer.)

 On with this Disclosure:
Beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.  So here goes…
Per the FTC rules, if I interview someone and they grab the bill for lunch, I would need to disclose this. Ditto if I use an Amazon link that gets me 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents. If someone gives me a comfy t-shirt with a logo and I wear it in a photo, same deal. Disclaimers all over the place. This would be tedious for me and even more tedious for readers. But rules is rules. To cover my ass and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every link and product I use, the following all hold true:
Please feel free to use the text and images on this page with proper attribution. There is no reason why each blogger should have to reinvent the wheel.
